Professional Development Training

Bring the powerful benefits of the Baby Signs Program to the children you serve!
The Baby Signs® Early Childhood Educator professional development training is appropriate for early childhood educators, large and small child care centers, child development students, family service agencies, and developmental intervention programs. Participants learn how to easily incorporate baby sign language into their existing programs and their community outreach efforts. It is beneficial to those who are looking for ways to support and embellish development during the first three years, helping children communicate with signs before they can talk using the Baby Signs® Program.
This training gives early childhood professionals the ability to identify needs, wants, and feelings of children before the children have developed the skills necessary for verbal communication. The Baby Signs® Program is designed to address the areas of cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and language development of infants and toddlers. Participants will receive everything needed to implement the Baby Signs® Program in their centers or organizations.
The 3-hour workshop provides background information and specific techniques to help implement this research-based early-intervention program within your child development center or agency. Participants will learn about the research and theories which support teaching babies to sign, why it works, when to start, and how to choose and teach signs. Games, songs, and activities are included throughout to provide an engaging and exciting learning experience.
